T-Pain and Weezy Colabo

I’m sure by now you have heard of the joint effort between T-Pain and Lil Wayne, known as T-Wayne ?!? Well, just a few hours ago T-Pain announced that it still on, but that for now he is concentrating on his upcoming album slated for a September release.

“T-Wayne is an entity that’s just gonna take over a side of the game. It’s two artists that done collaborated with every artist in the industry except each other. Being that we getting together, this T-Wayne movement is getting crazy.”

“He’s sending me blank tracks, I’m sending him blank tracks,” Pain elaborated on the project. “He’s sending me tracks with hooks, I’m sending him tracks with hooks. It’s just our hectic schedules are keeping us from recording. … But we both have studios on the bus. So we take that tour bus anywhere we go — it’s a done deal.”

T-Pain collaborated on one of Wayne’s singles from his current album. That track is known as “Got Money”.

Tha Carter III….

By now you must’ve heard of the leak of Tha Carter III, Lil Wayne’s album that was released today (10th of June). This was in response to Lil Wayne “dissing” mixtape DJ’s, something he later clarified through a radio-station interview. The DJ responsible for the leak of his latest album was DJ Drama. Dwayne Michael Carter had said, “F#*k you if you’re a mixtape DJ.” That comment sparked an immediate outrage in the mixtape community, and the leak made Lil Wayne songs readily available on the internet. Peer-to-peer users must have been elated to have his album at their fingertips for free.

The leak seemed to have little effect on the rap superstar, saying, “With my fan base, I know — whether it’s downloaded, leaked or not — I know when I step onstage, I’m going to get the same reaction that I always get.”

Lil Wayne Disses Mixtape DJ’s ?

Just what is Weezy F Baby up to now…dissing mixtape DJ’s ? Doesn’t he know that without them there possibly would not be Lil Wayne ?

DJ Doo Wop of Da Bounce Squad, responded to Lil Wayne’s comments. The following excerpt is taken from hiphopdx.com.

“Basically Lil Wayne made a statement disrespecting all mixtape deejays. I understand if he’s sour at a few dudes who exploit the game by leaking too many songs from your upcoming album on their CD, but that doesn’t justify him shitting on the whole culture.” The veteran added, “Lil Wayne wants to separate himself from the very thing that helped him become a household name, and it needed to be addressed. He made a million songs and freestyles last year, but the radio mostly played the commercial releases. How the hell do you think the rest of his joints got heard?

Lil Wayne sure is crazy for disrespecting the very people who have put him where he is today !
